A differentiating offer with innovative content responding to the growing consumers’ need to adopt sustainable and responsible behaviours. According to a recent Nomisma survey, for 1 Italian out of 2 the main purchasing driver is Italian authenticity followed by sustainability. Both drivers have grown in weight and importance compared to 2019, becoming the essential key factors influencing product choices.
As to Italian authenticity, Bonduelle responds to this need by launching, within the Insalate degli Agricoltori range, the PGI rocket from the Piana del Sele. The PGI certification is a proof of the local and authentic Italian nature of a product, because it guarantees the origin of the raw material. The Rucola from the Piana del Sele, which obtained the PGI in November 2020 when the decision was published in the Official Journal, can now rely on the promotional activities carried out by its specific Protecting Consortium.
In this context, Bonduelle is implementing both the 1st and 6th pillars of its social responsibility programme, called “Bonduelle s’impegna” [Bonduelle’s commitment], aimed at supporting the best from-the field-to-the-factory practices, through the introduction of a PGI product and the lunch of its first packaging made of R-PP, a material containing recycled plastics. The innovative R-PP plastic material results from the combination of new fossil polypropylene with recycled polypropylene, thus reducing the amount of plastics derived from non-renewable sources, making R-PP a sustainable and always 100% recyclable material.
Bonduelle decided to use R-PP for two premium ranges, Insalate degli Agricoltori and Bonduelle Bio. The 100% recyclable packaging guarantees the same performances of the standard PP plastic packaging, in terms of product quality preservation, ensuring the same shelf-life in a perfectly see-through container. The new packaging features a complete graphic restyling. Both products show the following claims “We use recycled plastic” and “100% recyclable”, which underscore Bonduelle’s commitment for sustainability as well as for fresh, local and proximity products.

Le verdure fresche tagliate sono prodotti molto delicati per loro natura. Essendo alimenti “vivi” contengono molta umidità, sono in continua trasformazione e possono essere molto diversi gli uni dagli altri.
Il packaging gioca un ruolo chiave nella protezione di questi alimenti, permettendo la loro conservazione nel tempo; questo è il motivo per cui non esiste quasi nessun’altra valida opzione rispetto all’utilizzo del film in polipropilene antifog.

Un’offerta differenziante dal contenuto innovativo che intercetta il bisogno crescente dei consumatori di adottare comportamenti sostenibili e responsabili. Secondo una recente indagine di Nomisma, infatti, per 1 italiano su 2 i principali driver di scelta in termini d’acquisto sono italianità, al primo posto, e sostenibilità, a seguire. Entrambi i driver sono cresciuti sia di peso che di importanza rispetto al 2019 divenendo fattori imprescindibili nella scelta dei prodotti.
A proposito di italianità, Bonduelle concretizza questo bisogno lanciando, all’interno della gamma Insalate degli Agricoltori, la rucola IGP proveniente dalla Piana del Sele. La certificazione IGP è l’emblema del localismo e dell’italianità in quanto garantisce l’indicazione di provenienza della materia prima. La Rucola della Piana del Sele ha ottenuto l’IGP a novembre 2020 a seguito dell’approvazione sulla Gazzetta Ufficiale, ora la Rucola della Piana del Sele IGP può contare anche sul Consorzio di Tutela che lavorerà alla valorizzazione e alla tutela del prodotto.
In questo contesto, Bonduelle mette in atto sia il 1° che il 6° pillar del proprio programma di responsabilità sociale “Bonduelle s’impegna” a sostegno delle buone pratiche dal campo allo stabilimento, introducendo una referenza IGP e il primo packaging in R-PP, un materiale che contiene plastica riciclata. L’innovativa plastica R-PP deriva da una miscela che utilizza Polipropilene vergine di origine fossile e Polipropilene riciclato riducendo così la percentuale di plastica derivante da fonti non rinnovabili, rendendo l’R-PP un materiale sostenibile e sempre 100% riciclabile.
Bonduelle ha riservato l’R-PP per due gamme premium, Insalate degli Agricoltori e Bonduelle Bio. Il packaging, 100% riciclabile, garantisce le medesime prestazioni delle precedenti confezioni realizzate in plastica PP, mantenendo la qualità del prodotto e assicurando la stessa shelf-life in un contenitore perfettamente trasparente. A caratterizzare i nuovi imballaggi anche un restyling grafico. Su entrambi i prodotti sono stati inseriti i claim “Usiamo plastica riciclata” e “100% riciclabile” che mettono in evidenza l’impegno sostenibile di Bonduelle senza tralasciare i concetti di freschezza, localismo e vicinanza.
